SongDoor 2006 International Songwriting Competition
The deadline for the only songwriting competition where nobody loses, the SongDoor 2006 International Songwriting Competition, is quickly approaching.
This competition is open to amateur and professional songwriters and musicians worldwide who are at least 18 years old. Entries are $10 each, which will be accepted until the deadline of November 15. Applicants are able to submit as many entries as they wish. Categories include country, pop, singer/songwriter/folk, rock, R&B/soul, Christian/gospel, blues and instrumental.
SongDoor Spokesman and President, Tony Zotta, says, “We’re songwriters, as we know how hard it is to get your songs heard. SongDoor is about taking that great, unheard song and giving it a fighting chance at being published. We also wanted this to be about furthering your songwriting career, so everyone who enters will receive a free songwriting course from SongU.com and a professional evaluation of each song they submit. Nobody loses.”
The Grand Prize is $3,000 US in merchandise and services and a fully produced professional demo at Jay’s Place. Category winners will receive a valuable package of songwriter’s tools and all entrants will receive one free self-paced songwriting course from SongU.com. Judges include music industry producers, artists and engineers.
The other companies that make the SongDoor 2006 International Songwriting Competition possible include The Nashville Muse, Vision Productions, RealTime Productions, Musical Wonderland, Bella Vista Products, CoolSpringsRestaurants.com and Berkshire Communications.
