Metalworks Hosts DigiDays
Metalworks Institute and Digidesign will be hosting three days of free, knowledgeable and hands-on events for audio and music professionals, titled: DigiDays.
It will be held from Oct. 27 to 29, at Metalworks Institute in Mississauga, ON. This is the only authorized Digidesign Pro School training centre in Eastern Canada and it also features the world’s largest Digidesign ICON console configuration. DigiDays will feature over 28 events that will improve your skills with master classes, presentations, hands-on workshops and demos. Topics such as songwriting, tracking, music creation, studio mixing, live FOH mixing and recording, advanced post-production and mastering will be covered.
Some of the show highlights include the unveiling of Pro Tools 7 software, a Digidesign venue live sound environment, the ICON 80-fader D-Control worksurface, workshops in the Metalworks studios and a chance to check out the LiveWire Remote recording truck. The free master classes will focus on Pro Tools basics, virtual instruments and ICON integrated console environment.
Guest presenters include Alfio Annibalini, recording engineer, mixer; Nick Blagona, mastering engineer; Graham Brewer, producer, Digitalis Audio Group; Justin Grey, songwriter, producer, remixer, programmer; Doug McClement, remote recording engineer, LiveWire Records; Michael Nunan, CTV post sound supervisor; and Scott Purdy, award-winning re-recording mixer and sound designer.
