Bryan Adams Inducted To Canadian Music Hall Of Fame

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) has announced that Bryan Adams will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. In addition to this, Adams will be performing at the 2006 JUNO Awards on Sunday, April 2; aired from the Metro Centre in Halifax, NS by CTV.

Adams is the record holder for the longest running, 16 weeks, number one hit in the British chart history. He is a Grammy, JUNO and American Music Award winner and has been nominated for Oscars and Golden Globes. In addition to his musical career, he is also a photographer. Three of his portrait books have been released, Made in Canada, Haven and Calvin Klein – American Women. Proceeds from these books has gone to research for breast cancer. He was also chosen to take a portrait of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

CARAS established the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1978 to honour musicians who have made contributions toward international recognition of Canadian artists and music.
