The deadline is quickly approaching for artists to apply for the Independent Music World Series (IMWS).

The IMWS is a showcase for artists to show what they’ve got in front of industry VIPs. Independent musicians also have a chance to win $250,000 in cash and prizes. The deadline to apply is May 3. The IMWS will showcase in Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta and Philadelphia and is open to all Canadian and American residents. A prize package will be given away at each of the showcase stops, and all styles are welcome.

The prize package includes $5,000 cash, a digital recording workstation, stereo monitors, electric guitar and bass, guitar and bass amps, drumset with hardware, a complete set of cymbals and a recording microphone package. The prize package also includes a CD manufacturing and mastering package, recording software, strings and endorsements, drum heads, 40 hours of studio time, music conference showcases and memberships to TAXI, Sonicbids and CD Baby. All musicians who enter will automatically receive a free copy to the Musician’s Guide to Touring and Promotion, Electronic Musician and DRUM! magazine.
