Notion Realize Music Challenge
VirtuosoWorks, Inc. has recently launched a new composition competition, the Notion Realize Music Challenge.
The competition will run from June 30 to November 30. Entrants will compose a piece of work that can be up to 10 minutes long and includes library sounds of the London Symphony Orchestra, using the Notion software or the free demo version from the Web site.
“Whether you’re a music student or seasoned professional, this competition is an opportunity to practice your craft with new technology,” said Lori Jarrett, CEO of VirtuosoWorks. “Compose using the sounds of the London Symphony Orchestra inside the software and possibly record your work with them in person. What a great opportunity!”
The Grand Prize winner and one guest will be flown to London, England where they will record their composition in a 3-hour recording session with the London Symphony Orchestra at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. The Grand Prize winner will also receive hotel accommodations, a free copy of Notion and $2,500 in cash.
One Young Composer winner will win a copy of Notion software as well as $1,000 in cash and their work will be featured on Notion’s Web site. Five finalists will also receive a free copy of Notion software. A panel of experts in film composition, orchestral composition, music education and popular music will judge the submissions.
