Submissions are now open for The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Discovery Program. The program was formed to provide Canadian country music artists with career opportunities and build music industry connections.

The 2015 initiative includes the following opportunities:

• Music Industry Discovery Week: The six chosen acts will be flown to Toronto for a week (Apr. 26 – May 1) to gain expertise about the music business and artist development.  Artists will attend industry-led information sessions, receive branding and media training and have the chance to perform at a private, industry-only showcase.
• Mentorship:  Each finalist will be paired with a recognized Canadian act for mentorship purposes.
• Country Music Week Discovery Showcase: The three-hour showcase highlights the six finalists during Country Music Week. Acts will enjoy full concert production and will be accompanied by a house band.
• CCMA Discovery Award Winner: One outstanding CCMA Discovery Program finalist will be chosen by an industry jury to receive the CCMA Discovery Award at the CCMA Gala Dinner & Awards. In addition, the winner will receive music video funding and other industry-related prizing.
