Gypsy Chief Goliath might call Windsor, ON home, but their impact is beginning to be felt around the globe. The group is currently promoting their sophomore record, New Machines Of The Night, released this past October via Cyprus-based imprint Pitch Black Records.
In addition to making a significant impact on loud and metal radio charts in Canada, the album debuted in the number 20 position on the CMJ Loud Rock Charts in the U.S. before ultimately ascending even higher.
Formed in 2009, the group is fronted by vocalist-guitarist Al The Yeti Bones, a veteran of groups including The Mighty Nimbus, Georgian Skull, and Mister Bones. Complementing the dynamic vocalist are guitarist Gypsy Dave, drummer Adam Saitti, bassist Darren Brush, and harmonica player Brodie Stevenson.
Sounding like a cross between Black Sabbath and Thin Lizzy, Gypsy Chief Goliath was recently dubbed “Best Band In Windsor” by campus radio station CJAM, and earlier this year, they received coverage from outlets like Revolver, Decibel, and Power Play. Not too bad…
