1. Entrants are required to supply written or typed lyrics along with a cassette/CD copy of the song.
2. Entrants can submit one (1) song per cassette/CD. Maximum of three submissions per entrant. If there is more than one writer per submission, all co-writers must sign letter of agreement for the song to be submitted, and must abide by all criteria to enter. If there are co-writers on the winning entrant, the prize package must be divided between co-writers at their mutual discretion.
3. Regional winners and Grand Prize winner will be determined by a panel of judges.
4. The entrant warrants and represents that the songs submitted are sole, exclusive and original works of the entrant and have not been paid, published, released or otherwise distributed.
5. Entrants can only win the Grand prize once.
6. Entrants of any age are eligible to win. Writers under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the travel portion of the prize or accept its cash value equivalent, should their entry be a winning entry.
7. The station shall have the right to use the song in their sole discretion as they see fit, without reservation and without payment to broadcast the song which comprises the lyrics and music of the entrant.
8. The right title and interest of the entrant in and to the copyright to the lyrics submitted remains with the entrant.
9. The winning song will be played on the station as part of the station's regular format.
10. The station is not obligated to return copies of the songs submitted by entrants and shall not be responsible for any loss or damage suffered by an entrant as a result of the delivery of the song to the station or the use by the station of the song submitted.
11. The station is not obligated to pay any royalties or fees of any kind to the author/entrant, except for the prize money, should the entrant's song be selected and one of the prize winning entrants. Performance rights royalties accrued will be paid to the entrant if the song is played during the SOCAN survey.
12. The station has the right to publish the winner's picture or likeness and name.
13. All entries must reach the station no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 5th, 2003.
14. Local winners will be announced between Jan 5th to Jan 14th. 2004.
15. Entrants must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants. The contest is not open to Directors or employees of the sponsoring stations or competition judges.
16. All decisions are made by the station with respect to the acceptance of any entry and eligibility of entries shall be final and binding upon all participants.
17. The contest is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations that may be applicable.
18. Grand Prize winner will be announced on Saturday March 6, 2004.
19. The local winner receives a prize package of:

20. The National winner will receive:

21. Entry Forms are available at leading Musical Instrument Dealers and participating Stations. Entries must be submitted to your closest local participating Station.
