October 2003 Metronome Founder Awarded By Ontario Metronome Canada founder John Harris will be awarded the “Outstanding Achievement Award for Voluntarism in Ontario 2003” at a ceremony to be announced by the Ministry of Citizenship later this fall. The award is presented to “recognize extraordinary leadership, innovation and creativity.” “On behalf of the companies, volunteers and supporters of Metronome, I am honoured to have been chose for this award,” says Harris. “The recognition will help us continue to build support for Canada’s ‘music city’ on Toronto’s waterfront.” This past June, Harris was also awarded the Canada Day Achievement Award at a ceremony at Toronto City Hall to honour his tremendous contribution to the community.
