Apologies for the delay kind readers. As I sit here in a cafe nearly one week after my journey to Chicago for Lollapalooza my nose runs and my throat tickles. Who gets a cold in the dead of summer? Me, that’s who. Complaining aside, I didn’t have a cold while I was in Chicago and what I had instead was an epically great time.

I haven’t been back to Chicago and Lollapalooza since 2008. There is something special about Chicago’s swagger. It’s like a less imposing Toronto (mostly just because I don’t live there). Something however made me feel very at home. We stayed in a rented apartment off of Milwaukee (the main street) and often pretended we were living in the city every day heading downtown for the festival. (more…)
