Spinner.ca has posted a short piece on the "embarrassing" (their word, not mine) early music careers of some pretty big stars, including Ottawa’s own Alanis Morissette and her early ’00s dance pop career, which apparently even landed her an opening slot with Vanilla Ice. Also funny: members of The Bravery in a ska band called Skabba The Hutt.

Anyhow, you can check it out here. Any funny stories from your musical past? I used to play in a pretty terrible metalcore band in high-school, though one of our members has since gone on to a current metal group that you might hear about in the next few months.
