In the Soil is now accepting applications for its fourth annual multidisciplinary arts festival set to take over downtown St. Catharines from April 27- 29, 2012. Artists of all levels of experience with a connection to Niagara are invited to apply. This year, In the Soil will feature over 75 music, theatre, dance, film, media, and interdisciplinary works over the 3-day festival.
The application deadline is December 2, 2011.
The 2012 festival will feature a special outdoor venue that will showcase contemporary performing and media artists over three days. In the Soil has new plans to innovate the festival and encourage artists to offer new work and one-time audience experiences.
Last year over 250 artists and 2,500 festival patrons came together to celebrate the arts of Niagara and beyond. Past performers have included Fucked Up, Peter Elkas, and the Great Lake Swimmers.
