North By Northeast (NXNE) has announced that Canadian DJ, producer, Prism Prize and Polaris Prize-winner Kaytranada will perform at the Portlands site on Saturday, June 24. He will join previously announced acts Passion Pit, Post Malone, Bleachers, Tinie Tempah and more for the all ages weekend long event. Organizers say attendees can look forward to a unique and immersive festival experience filled with rides, games and special prizing opportunities.

“We’re thrilled to have such an amazing, exploding artist as Kaytranada to highlight Saturday night at the Port Lands,” says NXNE president/managing director, Michael Hollett. “Kaytranada is on a remarkable career trajectory as he takes his place as one of the most important and entertaining DJs in the world.”

Over the three days at the NXNE Portlands site from June 23-25, 30 acts from across the worlds of indie rock, hip-hop, and soul will play on two stages. There will also be a Ferris wheel, carnival games, a comedy tent featuring up and coming stand up comics, art installations, plenty of free water, and food trucks and more.

The previously announced Saturday headliner, Tyer, The Creator, has pulled out of his festival appearance “due to circumstances beyond our control” the festival has announced.
