Canadian Music Week has announced the winners from last night’s 2017 Indies – the 17th Annual Independent Music Awards – presented by Jim Beam with Indie88 at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in downtown Toronto. Hosted by Indie88’s Josie Dye and Matt Hart,  A Tribe Called Red, The Strumbellas, Kaytranada, andJuly Talk took home the top honours of the night. 54-40 also performed after being inducted into the Indies Hall of Fame, indie-alternative mainstays Hollerado performed along with Repartee who celebrated their Pop Group of the Year win with a fan-favourite show. The Jim Beam Make History Talent Search winners The Nursery and recipient of the Make History Award Dan Mangan hit the stage respectively.

Celebrating the best of independent music – both Canadian and international – the Jim Beam INDIES with Indie88, supported by The Ontario Media Development Corporation through the Ontario Music Fund, proved to be an unforgettable night for fans and industry alike.
