Indie Band-Focused Vinyl Pressing Plant, Canada Boy Vinyl, Suspends Operations

January 4th, 2017

cbvThe following is from FYI Music News:

After opening its doors in September 2015 with the promise of offering fast, affordable delivery of vinyl albums it appears that Canada Boy Vinyl is no more.

At launch, COO Dean Reid (who carries the title Commanding Officer) said he won over investors by focusing on Indie bands looking for short production runs, but something has gone amiss with the factory. In a Reddit post, Reid is quoted as stating “I wish to inform you that CBV has suspended operations effective Monday December 12/2016 with an anticipated start date of January 2017.

” I know how frustrating it can be to have unanswered questions , so I will provide updates in regards to your orders come January when the information becomes available. Please anticipate an extra 4-6 weeks to scheduled target dates as we do our best to fill your orders as quickly as possible. I would like to send my deepest and sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this has caused. I appreciate the love and support from our CBV family and the patience you are all extending at this time . I wish you all the best this holiday season and looking forward to a new year of making beautiful music together.”
