OMEA Prepping for Annual Music Teachers Conference from Nov. 3-5

OMEAThe Ontario Music Educators’ Association (OMEA) is prepping for its annual conference, which this year is dubbed Resonate 2016 and will be held Nov. 3-5 in Niagara Falls. Registration is still open for all classroom and private music educators at www.omearegistration.com.

The keynote speakers on the Friday will be actor, musician, and philanthropist Tom Jackson, who has been awarded the Order of Canada and also been nominated for several JUNO and Gemini awards. He’s also served as the chancellor for Trent University and is the recipient of the 2014 Governor General’s performing arts award.

Throughout the two-day program, there will be several educational sessions and clinic for teachers, networking and social events, performances from student ensembles and band, and time to visit exhibitors offering special discounts on products and instruments.
