I came across a blog post by Mike (I think…) of F***ed Up about the band’s experiences at SXSW over the last few years. It’s an interesting read, regardless of whether or not you agree with all of his points.
The band has certainly drawn a nice balance between creating uncompromising music and still enjoying a respectable degree of success. In fact, last year’s The Chemistry of Common Life was one of the 10 best Canadian records of 2009 according to this humble blogger, and actually named the best Canadian release by the reputable folks on the Polaris Music Prize jury.
