Canadian Musician dropped by the Mod Club in Toronto on Aug. 15 for the 18^th annual Honey Jam Artist Showcase. Needless to say, the 20-strong list of young female artists from all over Canada had something for everyone. From the hip-hop of Little T (who is only 14 years old!) and Lola Bunz to the self-penned folk of Cape Breton, NS’s Lauren Marchand and country  styling of Megan Rose, the night showed the unbelievable breadth of Canada’s female talent.

Canadian Musician’s Katlyn Fledderus caught up with Tokyo Police Club’s Graham Wright and Josh Hook at the S.C.E.N.E. Music Festival in St. Catharines, ON. Graham and Josh discuss the progress they’re making in the studio while working on their forthcoming LP as well as their partnership with Red Bull as part of the Red Bull Tour Bus and their desire to reach a larger audience.

PEI’s Meaghan Blanchard has achieved a great deal in just two years, from performing for the Duke and Duchess of York during their highly-publicized visit to her home province to performing 47 shows in 15 days at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver to recording her latest full-length, “She’s Gonna Fly,” with in Athens, GA with John Keane (R.E.M., B52s, Indigo Girls).
