Submissions Open for 2017/18 Canadian Songwriting Competition

CanadianSongwritingCompetition_LogoSubmissions are now being accepted for the 2017/18 edition of the Canadian Songwriting Competition. Submissions are being accepted until Jan. 31, 2018, with an early-bird deadline of Oct. 31, 2017.

Each online entry requires the following information/elements:

-An original song in mp3 format, Youtube link OR Soundcloud link (live performance entries must be submitted as a Youtube link).

-A copy of the lyrics – Not necessary for instrumental songs. All languages are welcome. For songs in a language other than English or French, please provide an English translation.

-An entry fee – Fees are charged per entry (see number 5 for details). CSC accepts credit card payments and PayPal (special rates apply for participating association members). The early bird entry fee is $25 and the regular deadline fee is $30

Submissions are open to all amateur and professional songwriters who live in Canada and/or are citizens of Canada. If there are multiple writers on a single entry, at least 50 per cent of the writers must be Canadian.

This year there is a $10,000 cash component to the Grand Prize, and over $40,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs.
