Final ‘Steve’s Supports Country’ Day Happening SaturdayWednesday, October 14th, 2015
Steve’s Music Toronto alongside with their Co-Country sponsor, Boots & Bourbon Saloon teamed up this past summer to show support for upcoming Canadian country artists and to gain exposure to the every growing country music scene in Toronto and surrounding areas through the Steve’s Supports Country Campaign. The campaign consisted of live performances, an on-air Live Broadcast interview with CIUT 89.5 and a unique way for up and coming artists to showcase their talent in the Steve’s Country Corner on site in the Toronto store.
This Saturday, Oct. 17 at Steve’s Music on 415 Queen St. W. between 2 and 4 p.m. in the Steve’s Country Corner there will be performances by country artist Elyse Saunders as well as official spokesperson and country artist Alessia Cohle and country music veteran Don Graham. They will exchange some stories, songs and music with the country fan public. All performance & interviews run 30 minutes each.
Alessia Cohle utilizes the Steve’s & Boots & Bourbon Banner through her various performances this summer including her EP Release party which was held at Boots & Bourbon.
For there part, Boots & Bourbon Saloon, which won the 2015 CCMA for Country Club of the Year, felt it was a natural fit to support the Steve’s Supports Country campaign.
“I’ve been familiar with Steve’s because it is kind of the staple musician’s spot in Toronto when people are coming through. I know there are a lot of industry ties to the place. I was contacted by Ruth Dorrain and she just asked, saying we’d like to pair up on this summer initiative they were working on and redeveloping a little piece of Steve’s with a country focus and we were totally cool to jump on board and here we are,” recalls Boots & Bourdon Co-founder Mike Strong.
