Steve Gaul Going for Solo Drumming World Record to Support Cardiac KidsMonday, August 10th, 2015
This Friday, Aug. 14th at the Burlington Music Centre, drummer Steve Gaul will begin an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for solo drumming; a record that he himself set in 2011 for a good cause. During that record-breaking drumathon in 2011, Gaul raised over $70,000 for cancer research. Now, on Friday, he will go for it again, this time to honour his daughter who was born with a congenital heart defect and undergone three heart surgeries.
Everyone is invited to participate, cheer, and witness this outstanding event in support of Caridac Kids.
Drumathon III will take place from Aug. 14-20, 2015 at the Burlington Music Centre at 2311 New St. in Burlington, ON. The event will be live streamed online and to SickKids Hospital. Spectators will gather throughout the week to show their support and enjoy the celebrations. A variety of bands and musicians will stop by to jam with Steve as he attempts to drum for 135 hours straight. In order to be successful, Steve will rely on the support of nutritionists, sports doctors, community partners, and, most importantly, friends.
