Music Canada Live Wants Your OpinionTuesday, May 12th, 2015
Music Canada Live (MCL), an industry association for Canada’s live music sector, is currently engaged in strategic planning activity intended to shape the future of the organization. Music Canada Live represents those in the music industry whose primary business is in the live music sector, this includes both commercial and not-for-profit promoters and presenters, festivals, venues, clubs, agents, ticketing companies, suppliers to live, and others.
MCL is inviting all members of the music community to participate in one of the scheduled meetings taking place on May 19th, 21st, and 22nd – there are six different options and you would select one to attend. The purpose of these meetings is to obtain views of key stakeholders on issues, needs and challenges to help design the future programs, services, and priorities of Music Canada Live.
The meetings will be led by consultant Erik Lockhart from Queen’s University School of Business, and will be held online (you would join online and by telephone). He will lead each group through a series of questions and aggregate the details of the conversation – responses entered by computer are anonymous. MCL Executive Director Erin Benjamin will be a part of the meetings as well, listening to understand how this new association can best meet member needs.
If you cannot attend, but would still like to contribute thoughts and ideas, please let me know and I can provide you with questions that you can respond to via email.
You can RSVP your participation BY CLICKING HERE and identify which meeting (time and date, more information attached) you plan to attend. You will receive dial and log-in information beforehand and any tech support required.
