Is MySpace Dead (Yet)?

Thursday, April 21st, 2011

The ECMAs were an absolute blast. Part of the fun came from reconnecting with some old friends, including my pal Josh Hogan from Halifax. Josh runs both Diminished Fifth Records and Red Tentacle Music Company, sits on the board for the Halifax Pop Explosion, and sings (or, more accurately, screams his throat dry) in Orchird’s Curse. He’s also been kind enough to contribute to CM in the past. In other words, I think Josh is in-tune with today’s music industry.

He has an interesting blog post HERE about MySpace and what its slow decay means for music artists. Have a read, and check out some previous posts. If nothing else, it’s food for thought.
